14, 2003: The City of Temple Terrace Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)
received fourteen (14) responses to its request for qualification statements (RFQs)
from Town Planning firms interested in conducting our Public
Charrette and creating the Master Plan for our Downtown area. Grant Rimbey has said it is a remarkable feat for
a city of our size to attract such highly qualified firms; especially considering that
seven of them are nationally known city planners. CRA Director Matt Shannon
concurred with Grant's assessment. Here's the

City Manager Kim Leinbach and our CRA Director are currently involved
in the process of assembling the "Town Planner Selection Committee" to make a
short-list of final candidates. Many of us are looking forward to the crucial
acquisition of the final SE properties concomitant with the Designer/Planner selection
process.
